Various federal and provincial pathways invited 34,234 skilled workers to apply for Canadian permanent residency in the month of July 2024.

July turned out to be a positive month for Canadian permanent residency aspirants, especially international students currently on post-graduation work permits (PGWPs) meeting the relevant eligibility criteria.

Express Entry Invitations

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued a total of 25,125 invitations to apply (ITAs) in 9 Express Entry draws in July.

To create a profile in the express entry system, candidates need at least 1 year of skilled experience (TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) apart from other program-specific eligibility criteria.

Out of these 11,300 ITAs issued under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 510 or above,.

Ontario PNP Invitations

The Ontario provincial nominee program, known as the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), sent out a total of 5,920 permanent residency invitations under various streams.

OINP operates these streams under the Expression of Interest (EOI) and Express Entry variants.

3,194 invitations were sent under various OINP EOI streams and 2,726 under the Express Entry streams.

Quebec Arrima Invitations

Quebec sent out 1,560 permanent residency invitations in the month of July, targeting 27 occupations with a score of 579 or higher and a level 7 in French language proficiency.

Alberta PNP Invitations

The Alberta PNP, officially known as the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), met the target of accepting 797 applications in the month of July under the below-listed streams:

Manitoba provincial nominee program (MPNP) issued a total of 287 invitations in July under the International Education Stream (IES) and Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) streams.
