Ontario PNP (OINP) New Update: 2022 Quota & Processing Times

Today, Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) also known as Ontario PNP updated their 2022 nominations allocation from IRCC and process times. IRCC allots number of nominations that a particular Canadian province can send to support permanent residency of a foreigner inside or outside Canada.

As per OINP, they have been allocated 9,750 nominations for the year of 2022. Furthermore, OINP has already 4,374 nominations this year as of June 28, 2022. Province’s 2021 allocation was 8,350 plus an additional 250 nominations specifically for temporary foreign workers in intermediate skilled occupations (NOC C).

Ontario has been repeatedly urging the Federal Government to double their quota. But, this allocation indicates that it is not going to happen, at least this year. Purpose of this increase is to fill the gap of labor market in the province

Apart from this, OINP also updated average processing times of all the categories. Below are the average processing times as of June 28, 2022.
