On September 14, 2021 Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) draw invited 691 candidates under Masters Graduate Stream and PhD Graduate Streams. 627 graduates were invited under Masters program with score of 35 and above, while 64 were invited under PhG Graduate stream with cut off score of 16 in Expression Of Interest (EOI). Previous draw for Masters Graduate stream was held on August 25 which invited 326 applicants with score of 37 and above.
These streams invite the graduates of Masters and PhD from the list of approved universities. Also, the graduation should not be more than 2 years old at the time of application. This means that the date on your degree must be within two years of your OINP application submission date, not the date you received the invitation to apply.

Ontario Masters and PhD Stream Language Requirement:
This program requires CLB level 7 or higher in all the modules of English or French proficiency tests.
Residency In Ontario:
You must have legally lived in Ontario for at least one year in the past two years before you apply.
Settlement funds:
You must have enough money to support yourself and your dependent family members when you settle in Canada.
You can meet this requirement through one or a combination of any of the following:
- funds as demonstrated by the balance listed in bank statements, or statements of accounts showing other investments such as non-locked in, fixed term deposits, mutual funds, etc.
- annual earnings from ongoing employment in Ontario
- a job offer in Ontario

Intention to live in Ontario:
You must intend to live in Ontario after you’ve been granted permanent residence. This is determined by your ties to Ontario, which can include doing things like:
- working or having worked in Ontario
- getting job offers or applying/interviewing for jobs
- studying
- volunteering
- leasing or owning property
- visiting
- having professional networks and affiliations, family ties and personal relationships
Residency At Time Of Application:
At the time you apply, you must be either:
- living in Ontario with legal status (study permit, work permit, visitor record)
- living outside Canada

Application fees is $1,500 for processing.
How To Apply:
To apply under these streams, you must first create a profile in the OINP e-Filing Portal. After creating a profile, you must then register an expression of interest for the Masters Graduate or PhD Graduate stream as per your eligibility.
