An express entry program to hire skilled workers in order to meet the needs of Canada’s growing economy has been introduced to one of the provinces in the country. This makes it so much easier to apply for the program and get provincial nomination to the express entry applicants.
Where is this happening?
One of the most beautiful Maritime provinces, New Brunswick. The province has created a new category for Express Entry called NB Express Entry- Occupations in Demand.
What is this about?
The NB Express Entry – Occupations in Demand is an express entry program for candidates who demonstrate high human capital along with skills, training and experience in areas that are related to the NOCs of New Brunswick’s interest.
Also, having family connections, prior education or work in NB can lead to a stronger profile which in turn can increase your chances of getting selected.
In addition, once your profile has been created, it will also be considered for future invitations to apply to the express entry by NB under the provincial nominee program.
The occupations that New Brunswick is interested in are:
- 1111 – Financial auditors and accountants
- 1112 – Financial and investment analysts
- 1121 – Human resources professionals
- 1122 – Professional occupations in business management consulting
- 1221 – Administrative officers
- 1311 – Accounting technicians and bookkeepers
- 1312 – Insurance adjusters and claims examiners
A job offer is not required if you are enrolled in a federally-designated post-secondary institution, but you must demonstrate minimum 1-year of experience in these NOCs. Furthermore, if you are in any other province of Canada, then you can enroll yourself in a DLI of New Brunswick and apply.
You need to select ‘Other NOC’ if you do not have any experience in a NOC listed above, but are registering because of a connection in New Brunswick.
How To Apply?
You must fill out a registration form to apply. Be very careful when filling this form since once you complete a page and click NEXT, you cannot go back to the previous page and hence you cannot change what you entered earlier.
You also need to submit a list of documents stated below:
- A detailed resume (in pdf form)
- Information from your ECA report (required if you have completed an ECA assessment)
- Your Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS)
- A valid express entry profile.
However, do remember, you will be contacted only if New Brunswick is interested in your profile. Nevertheless, if you are not contacted, your file will be saved for a 12- month period.
