On February 8, 2024, three new Ontario-OINP draws issued a total of 4,552 permanent residency (PR) invitations under general and targeted rounds of invitations.
In an OINP Express Entry draw under the Human Capital Priorities (HCP), Ontario sent out 2,118 invitations for provincial nominations.
This draw targeted Express Entry profiles created with a primary occupation in one of the below-listed 15 tech occupations with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 471 and 480.

- NOC 21211 – Data Scientists
- NOC 21220 – Cybersecurity specialists
- NOC 21221 – Business systems specialists
- NOC 21222 – Information systems specialists
- NOC 21223 – Database analysts and data administrators
- NOC 21230 – Computer systems developers and programmers
- NOC 21231 – Software engineers and designers
- NOC 21232 – Software developers and programmers
- NOC 21233 – Web designers
- NOC 21234 – Web developers and programmers
- NOC 21311 – Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)
- NOC 22220 – Computer network technicians
- NOC 22221 – User support technicians
- NOC 22222: Information systems testing Technicians
Express Entry profiles created between February 8, 2023, and February 8, 2024 meeting the above criteria received an invitation.
Previously, on February 6, the Ontario Express Entry draw under the HCP stream targeted health occupations and sent out 2,086 invitations. Click here for details on February 6 draw.
Furthermore, on February 8, the OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) Expression of Interest (EOI) general draw under the International Student Stream sent out 1,182 invitations to apply for permanent residency (PR) in a general draw.
OINP EOI profiles with a score of 78 and above meeting the eligibility criteria for the International Student Stream received an invitation.
Additionally, a Healthcare and Tech targeted OINP EOI draw under the International Student Stream issued 1,252 invitations to apply for PR to the profiles with a score of 73 and above.
