The City of Toronto is hiring now over 15,000 people to work for the 2022 municipal election. You can make up to $425. The election will take place on Monday, October 24, 2022.
The hiring is for 9 different positions for this day. Most of the available roles require you to work from 8:00 a.m. to around 9:00 p.m. However, you can also apply to work in advance. So, you can work for the voting days- from Oct 7 to 14.

The pay range of all jobs on election day is $235 to $425. You will receive your cheque approximately six weeks after the election day. Also, you will need to attend three hours of virtual training.
However, if you just complete the training and don’t show up for work, you will not get paid. Similarly, if you do not attend the training, you will not be allowed to work.

Eligibility for City of Toronto election jobs!
To be eligible to work for these jobs you need to be-
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- 18 years of age or older on or before election day.
- Having a valid Social Insurance Number.
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
- Lastly, after hiring, declare to maintain the secrecy of voting. Also, you cannot engage in political activity in the election.

To apply for these jobs, you need to create an account on the Toronto Election jobs portal. Fill in all the details. Don’t forget to provide your up-to-date address when signing up. This is because the cheque will be sent to the same address.
