New Vancouver Living Wage 2023 and All 19 B.C. Regions

The new Vancouver living wage 2023 revealed by the Living Wage for Families BC shows a surge of 6.6% to $25.68 from $24.08 in 2022.

There is a difference of $8.93 between this living wage rate in Metro Vancouver and the general provincial minimum wage raised on June 1, 2023.

According to the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives’ research, one-third of Metro Vancouver’s two-parent households do not earn the living wage to meet their household ends.

How much is the minimum wage in BC?

The minimum wage in British Columbia is $16.75 per hour effective June 1, 2023, following the province’s announcement in 2022 that it would be subject to inflation going forward.
