The third Express Entry draw of the week on July 18 sent out 1,800 invitations to apply for permanent residency.
Previously, on July 17, an Express Entry draw for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) sent out 6,300 permanent residency invitations (ITAs).
This is more than double the number of invitations sent in the first CEC-only Express Entry draw in May 2024 and brings a ray of hope for CEC candidates in the pool.
The comprehensive ranking system’s (CRS) cutoff score is 515 in today’s draw, 5 points less than our prediction posted yesterday because of the higher number of invitations.
Also on July 16, IRCC sent out 1,391 ITAs targeting profiles with a provincial nomination from one of the Canadian provinces.

July has now become the best month for Express Entry with sending out 19,161 invitations to apply so far surpassing the 16,110 sent in February 2024.
Given that IRCC has restarted CEC draws, the likelihood of a decrease in the cutoff score is contingent upon the regularity and magnitude of these invitation rounds.
