New IEC 2023 Round of Invitations Sent Out >2,300 Invites

New IEC 2023 round of invitations for the week ending April 14, 2023 sent out more than 2,300 invitations under three categories.

During this week, over 2,000 people have been invited to apply for open work permit under the IEC Working Holiday visa category.

This year, more than 61,000 invitations have already been sent under the IEC Working Holiday category.

This year, IEC 2023 has a target of inviting more than 90,000 applicants from over 32 countries. Click here to view country-specific quotas for 2023.

Candidates in the Young Professional category received over 190 invitations, while candidates in the International Co-op (internship) category received just 91 invitations.

According to the April 12 IRCC official processing update, 80% of IEC 2023 applications are being processed within 4 weeks.

IEC 2023 Working Holiday Visa Category

In the “Working Holiday” category, invited candidates are awarded an open work visa that allows them to work in Canada for nearly any organization/company/employer.

This category is for candidates from qualified countries who meet the following criteria:

• do not have a job offer from Canadian employer
• would like to work in Canada for different employers
• would want to work in more than one location and financially support their Canada trip.

International Experience Canada – Eligibility & How To Apply

Young Professionals Category

In the Young Professionals category, invited candidates from qualified countries acquire a closed work permit for a specific employer in Canada.

Candidates in this category must have a job offer from a Canadian company that will help them progress in their careers.

Furthermore, they are issued an employer-specific work permit and are not permitted to work for multiple businesses in Canada.
