New Healthcare Targeted Express Entry Draw Issues 1,500 ITAs

Today, new Express Entry draw targeted for 35 healthcare occupations sent out 1,500 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency (PR).

This is the second healthcare targeted draw so far with previous similar round of invitations announced by Immigration Minister on June 28 that invited only 500 profiles.

What should Express Entry candidates with low CRS score and not having experience in one of priority occupations do?

IRCC is full of surprises so it is always advisable to have an active Express Entry profile irrespective of the CRS score.

Candidates with low CRS score and not having experience in one of priority occupations can work on improving their CRS score, explore provincial nomination options, or learn French (since IRCC will also be conducting francophone draws in 2023).

When will be the next Express Entry draw?

Express Entry draws are usually held bi-weekly, but since June 27 IRCC is conducting new round of invitations every week as they have started occupation-specific draws.

One can expect next draw July 11 – 13 which could be a no program specified draw or occupation-specific or even PNP draw (since last PNP draw was on May 10).
