4 IRCC Express Entry Draws Sent 3,395 PR Invitations

The latest Express Entry draw on December 21 issued 400 invitations to apply for permanent residency targeted at agriculture and agri-food occupations. CRS cutoff score: 386.

Previously, on December 20, IRCC targeted 10 transport occupations sending out 670 invitations to apply for permanent residency. CRS cutoff score: 435.

Also on December 19, the IRCC conducted a draw targeting trade occupations sending out 1,000 invitations to apply for permanent residency. The CRS cutoff score was 425.

This is the 7th Express Entry round of invitations for December, after a pause in the month of November 2023.

On December 18, a general (all program) Express Entry draw sent out 1,325 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residency (PR).

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score dropped by 19 points as compared to the previous similar Express Entry draw on December 6th.

Resumption of Express Entry Draws

IRCC usually announces Express Entry draws on a biweekly basis but didn’t hold any rounds of invitations for 5 weeks between October 26 and December 5.

However, IRCC conducted three back-to-back draws between December 6th and 8th, inviting 11,650 profiles to apply for permanent residency and now there are four more draws this week.

This is a sigh of relief for Express Entry candidates in the pool but the CRS cutoff score is still high.

We can expect more targeted rounds of invitations this week since the number of invitations was low in the Express Entry draw today.

Overall, a total of 110,266 ITAs have been sent in 42 Express Entry draws so far this year.

Summary of the last Express Entry draws in December 2023

On December 21, 2023, the Canada Express Entry system issued 400 invitations to apply for permanent residency in agriculture and agri-food targeted draws.

Previously, on December 20, transport targeted Express Entry draw sent out 670 invitations to apply for PR.

Also on December 19, IRCC sent out 1,000 invitations for permanent residency (PR) in a round of invitations targeted at 10 Trade occupations.

On December 18, only 1,325 people with a CRS score of 542 or higher were invited by the IRCC Express Entry draw for all programs.
