What is Express Entry?
The fastest method to become a permanent resident (PR) of Canada is through the Express Entry system.
It has a processing time standard of 6 months following document submission in after accepting the invitation to apply (ITA).
Express Entry rates candidate profiles based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), a points-based algorithm.
The profiles having a score higher than the CRS cut off declared in a draw receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), inviting them to file a permanent residency application.
Express Entry system serves as the application management system for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).
Candidates in the Express Entry pool with profiles under one of the above mentioned program, having a provincial nomination get 600 extra points.
