The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) extended 1,474 invitations to apply for permanent residency (PR) status on March 19, 2024.
In a general draw, OINP sent invitations to 1,370 profiles created under the Masters Graduate Stream, provided that the Expression of Interest score was 52 or above.
Additionally, 104 invitations to apply for the PhD graduate stream have been sent to all EOI profiles with a score of 42 or higher.
These OINP drawings were open to Expressions of Interest (EOI) profiles created between March 19, 2023, and March 19, 2024.

In order to get permanent residency (PR) in Ontario, invited candidates now have 14 days to submit an application corroborating the details in their Expression of Interest profile.
We would like to reiterate our guidance to those who are applying for permanent residence in Canada in light of higher Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores in Express Entry drawings.
Rather than obtaining LMIAs or operating payrolls, international students wishing to obtain permanent residency in Canada may choose to participate in a Masters program at one of the accredited universities.
This will:
- Boost their scholastic standing in order to be ready for future employment prospects.
- Allow them to stay in Canada as students and increase their chances of being granted permanent residence.
- Obtaining employment offers, LMIAs, or payrolls is not necessary for the OINP Masters Graduate Stream; hence, it is advised to invest your money in building your professional profile instead.
An overview of the OINP Draw 2024 Expression of Interest (EOI) summary
A total of 4,586 invites for permanent residency have been sent out so far as a result of the OINP Expression of Interest.
With 3,117 invites sent thus far, the Foreign Worker stream has received the most, second only to the Masters Graduate stream, which has received about 1,300 invitations.
