IRCC Client Experience Platform

New IRCC Client Experience Platform May Begin In Fall 2023

Last Updated On 21 July 2023, 11:59 AM EDT (Toronto Time)

New IRCC Client Experience Platform is currently being developed with a combined initial value of $85.4 million aiming for initial implementation in Fall 2023.

This new Client Experience Platform will provide applicants with a more user-friendly interface to access IRCC program and services.

The Canadian government put out a call for proposals for the Client Experience Platform on January 19, 2023, and it was open until March 28, 2023.

Today, Canada awarded 2 procurement contracts to Accenture and Salesforce Canada Corporation to work in this direction.

Immigration Minister Sean Fraser and Minister of Public Services and Procurement, Helena Jaczek made this announcement today.

Accenture contract has value of $74.9 million while Salesforce Canada Corporation contract is $10.5 million.

Salesforce Canada Corporation and Accenture will assist IRCC with the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the new platform.

IRCC is going forward with early procurement of the Client Experience Platform so that clients and partners can get benefits more quickly.

Fall 2023 is anticipated as the initial implementation date for a subset of clients with work beginning as soon as later this summer.

Once fully implemented over the next few years, the new platform will give clients the tools and powers they need to have a seamless experience.

This will allow IRCC to personalize services, and replace old portals and tools that clients use.

Salesforce Canada Corporation, a company that makes software-as-a-service, will be in charge of the platform’s core technology, licensing, support, and maintenance. Their contract is for 5 years, with renewal option for up to 15 more years.

Accenture Inc. is a systems developer that will help with setting up, customizing, and putting in place the new platform as required. This deal is for two years, but it can be renewed for up to five more years.

The Canadian government is also using a different process to obtain the Case Management Platform, which will work with the Client Experience Platform to handle applications.

This process of getting contracts is slated to be done by the spring of 2024.

IRCC is trying to build a stronger immigration system that will focus on people, families, and communities, solve labour shortages, and be flexible enough to react to global humanitarian emergencies and help those who need it most.

Automated IRCC Processing

The Canadian immigration department has been using automated handling for administrative jobs to make the temporary resident application process easier and faster.

According to the immigration service, they have been using advanced analytics and other automatic technology to speed up the processing of some temporary applications.

The new automatic tools only help sort and process applications. They never say “no” or “don’t” to an application.

According to our sources, Canadian immigration uses automatic tools to process visitor visas and visitor records (extensions).

Recently, the same tools have also been used to process study permits.

Before, there were a lot of concerns raised about the use of ‘CHINOOK‘ to process applications, and immigration experts say they’ve seen ‘CHINOOK‘ turn down a visa application.

But the Immigration Department and Immigration Minister Sean Fraser have said over and over again that it is always up to an immigration worker to decide whether or not to accept an application.

What can applicants do to ensure better processing of visa application with automation?

To make sure the new automatic tools processing your application without any hassle, you should:

1. Make sure you filled out the whole application.
2. Fill out all forms with the necessary details.
3. Give any supporting evidence ahead of time.
4. If your application has something odd or unusual, you should explain it in a letter.
5. Be as clear as possible in your application and letter of explanation.
