The final IEC 2023 (International Experience Canada program) season round of invitations for all remaining pools will happen the week of October 23, 2023.
Invited candidates need to submit their profiles before 9 a.m. Eastern Time on October 23, 2023, to be considered for the 2023 season.
If you receive your invitation to apply before the season closes or have started your work permit application, you can still complete and submit your work permit application.
As per the most recent IRCC processing update, the IEC 2023 current season applications are currently being processed within six weeks.
Since the 2023 IEC season began in January, a total of 128,574 work permit invitations in three categories have been issued so far.
The countries listed below are among the best candidates for the IEC Working Holiday Visa, Young Professionals, and International Co-op (internship) categories.

Working Holiday Visa IEC 2023 invitations
An individual from an eligible country can obtain an open work permit via the IEC working holiday category, allowing them to work for any Canadian employer.
This category applies to you if you wish to work for multiple employers in Canada but don’t have a job offer and would prefer to work multiple jobs in order to generate money for travel to explore Canada.

IEC Young Professionals invitations
Employer-specific work permits are the ones issued to individuals who fall under the Young Professionals category.
This category is for you if you have a job offer from a Canadian employer that helps you advance in your career.
This is a closed work permit, meaning you will only be able to work for the same company in the same location while you are in Canada.

International Co-op (Internship) invitations
Under the International Co-op (Internship) category, post-secondary students from eligible countries are granted an employer-specific work permit to do their internship in Canada.
This is also a closed work permit and the internship must be part of your education program.
Invited individuals are allowed to work for the same company and in the same location all throughout their time in Canada.

What is the International Experience Canada program?
