Canada issues around 4,876 work permit invitations in a new IEC 2023 round of invitations for the week ending May 12, 2023.
Under the IEC Working Holiday visa category, 4,620 people have been invited to apply for open work permits.
Under the IEC Working Holiday, 74,226 invitations have already been sent out so far this year.
For week ending May 12, only 171 candidates in the Young Professional category got the invitation, while candidates from major countries in the International Co-op (internship) category only got 85.

This year, IEC 2023 will accept applications in all 3 categories from more than 90,000 people in over 32 countries.
So far, invitations to apply in all three categories of IEC 2023 have been sent out to more than 82,000 applicants. Click here to see the official IEC quota for each country in 2023.
The latest official update on IRCC processing reveals that 80% of IEC 2023 applications are being processed within 7 weeks.

What is IEC 2023?
IEC is a program that lets young people from Canada and other countries work and vacation in each other’s countries.
This year, IEC 2023 will give 90,000 work permits to young people from over 32 countries.
Is International Experience Canada open?
IEC is now open to nearly 90,000 young people from 32 eligible countries who want to work and learn about life in Canada.
