On January 11, the First Ontario Express Entry Draw of 2024 by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) invited a staggering 2,552 profiles for provincial nomination.
Individuals having valid Express Entry profiles created between January 11, 2023, and January 11, 2024, with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 350–424 and experience in 49 skilled trade occupations, received the invitations.
The Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream draw does not require a separate OINP profile; nevertheless, valid profiles must be in one of the trade occupations eligible for this draw.
The provincial nomination adds 600 points to the candidate’s current Express Entry profile.
If invited profiles accept the Ontario Provincial Nomination, their Express Entry CRS score will rise to between 950 and 1,024.
The OINP Express Entry Skilled Trades stream in 2023 has invited a total of 7,512 profiles.

What are the eligibility requirements for the OINP Express Entry Skilled Trades stream?
If you have created an Express Entry profile and have worked full-time for at least a year (or the equivalent in part-time work) in Ontario in Major Groups 72 (not including transportation officers), 73, 82, 83, 93 (not including aircraft assemblers and aircraft assembly inspectors), or Minor Group 6320 (not including cooks) in the last two years, you are automatically eligible for the OINP Express Entry Skilled Trades stream draw.
