1. University of Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships

The University of Toronto offers Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships to honour international students with outstanding academic achievements. It is available to undergraduate students and covers all living expenses, tuition, and other miscellaneous costs for four years. 



2. York University Scholarship, Awards & Bursaries 

Depending on the program type, international students can get scholarships worth $2000-$180,000 for a four-year degree program. However, a strong academic record is necessary to be eligible. 

Note that entrance scholarships do not require additional application. However, other scholarships have an application process wherein students must apply before the deadline. 

3. University of British Columbia International Scholars Program awards

UBC offers need and merit-based awards through International Scholarship Program, which includes four prestigious scholarships. Students need to be admitted to UBC’s undergraduate program to be eligible. 

Moreover, UBC automatically considers international students for International Major Entrance Scholarships and Outstanding International Student Awards, merit-based entrance scholarships. It offers a maximum value of $25,000 per year. Additionally, students can also apply for the International Scholarship Program. 

4. Carleton University’s Entrance and Prestige Scholarships

Carleton University provides one-time entrance scholarships to incoming undergraduate students with an entrance average of 80 percent or higher. The scholarship amount can be $3,500 or $5,000, depending on the award type. However, this scholarship is only offered during the fall intake. 

Another option is the Prestige Scholarship, which awards scholarships between $20,000 and $30,000 to students with at least a 90 percent average. 

5. Winnipeg President’s Scholarships for World Leaders

The University of Winnipeg offers Scholarships for World Leaders to international students enrolling in a post-secondary program for the first time. It is open to graduates and undergraduate applicants, offering scholarships between $3,500 and $5,000. 

To be considered, applicants must complete an application for admission to the University of Winnipeg. 

6. Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship aims to attract top-tier doctoral students to Canada Universities. Students pursuing a doctoral or combined master’s can receive a scholarship value is $50,000 per year for three years program. 

7. University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships

International students who plan to enrol at the University of Manitoba as full-time graduate students (Masters or Ph.D.) are eligible for the merit-based University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships (UMGF)

The fellowships have a 12-month value of $18,000 for Ph.D. students and $14,000 for Master’s students.

8. Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarships

International students studying social sciences or humanities in a Canadian university can apply for this scholarship. Preference will be students from developing countries applying to or registered full-time in their program’s first or second year. 

With this scholarship, students can receive an annual value of up to $60,000 for three years. 

9. University of Waterloo Master’s Awards of Excellence

The University of Waterloo awards the International Master’s Award of Excellence (IMAE) to eligible international Master’s students. Students can receive an award of $2,500 per term for a maximum of five terms for pursuing a research-based graduating program.

10. University of Calgary Graduate Awards

International students can choose from various full and partial scholarships offered by the University of Calgary. Scholarship awards range in value from $1,000 to $40,000 and are available in multiple academic subjects.
