IEC 2023 New Round of Invitations Sent Around 1,900 Invites

New IEC 2023 round of invitations for week ending June 17 sent out around 1,900 invitations to apply (ITA) for work permit under 3 different categories.

1,642 invitations to apply (ITA) for open work permit were sent under the Working Holiday Visa category of International Experience Canada (IEC).

Applicants from all the eligible countries received an ITA this week, except for France, San Marino, Chile, and Latvia.

Only 191 ITAs for closed work permit (employer specific) were sent in Young Professionals category.

Furthermore, around 50 closed work permit ITAs were extended under International Co-op (Internship) category.

IEC 2023 has a total quota of issuing around 90,000 work permit in the above mentioned 3 categories.

Always keep in mind that the number of invitations does not always correspond to the number of accepted applicants, as some applicants may decline an invitation or IRCC may reject certain applications if they do not meet the requirements.

IEC 2023 has a processing time of 8 weeks as per latest IRCC processing update on June 14.

IEC 2023 Working Holiday Invitations – June 17

This category is for you, if you are a citizen of an eligible country for IEC and looking forward to get an open work visa that permits to work for nearly any company in Canada.

There is no need for a job offer under the Working Holiday category which makes it the most popular option under International Experience Canada program.

IEC 2023 Young Professionals Invitations – June 17

Invited candidates from qualifying nations in the Young Professionals category get an employer-specific work visa.

A job offer is required from a Canadian employer and individuals can only work for 1 employer.

A closed or employer-specific work permit is given in the International Co-op (Internship) category to the post-secondary graduates of eligible countries who have been offered a work placement or internship in Canada.
